How about a little more Champagne?
Discover “Les Mains Du Terroir de Champagne” during Le Printemps des Champagnes
To bring more attention to the bubbles in Chamapgne and to highlight the diversity of their terroirs, 16 Champagne growers created the association Le Mains Du Terroir de Champagne and organise each year a professional wine tasting.
The 5th edition will take place during “Le Printemps des Champagnes”, Sunday 17 April 2016 at the Reims town hall from 10am to 6pm.
Because they all share the same passion for their work and love of their terroirs, these Champagne growers decided in 2011 to invite a group of wine professionals to discover and taste their wines. Two years later the association Les Mains Du Terroir de Champagne was founded.
A patchwork of Champagne terroirs...
La Côte des Blancs, la Vallée de L’Ardre, la Vallée de la Marne, la Montagne de Reims, la Côte des Bar, le Sézannais… Les Mains Du Terroir de Champagne regroups 16 vignerons from each of these different AOC Champagne territories. Each winegrower represents his terroir, his soil and his own style.
Charlotte De Sousa, president of the association, addeds:
“The diversity is the heart of our association. Our common interests unite us, we hope to highlight the wealth of the Champagne terroirs and demonstrate that this diversity permits each of us to express his or her talent and passion…. Champagne is not only Champagne but also the richness of its terroir!
A wine tasting event for industry professionals.
For the 5th consecutive year, these 16 champagne growers have organised their event during Le Printemps des Champagnes.
The event is open to wine industry professionals – retailers, sommeliers, importers, the press and bloggers. The idea is to offer, under the same roof, the possibility to discover the singularity of each terroir that the association represents and taste the Champagnes and the latest base wines that will define the trend of the future vintages.
Charlotte De Sousa, highlights:
“The enormous success of Le Printemps des Champagnes has allowed us to receive new visitors each year with 60% of them coming from abroad. The pleasant and friendly atmosphere of a non-commercial event offers the possibility for us to share our passion, explain our work and point out the specific characteristics of our terroirs that can be found in a great wine!”
Furthermore, this year Geoffrey Orbanm from EDUCAVIN, a French ambassador of Champagne and vice-ambassador European (2006) will be present to comment and enrich the tastings.
We look forward to meeting you during Le Printemps des Champagnes.
