Meunier or not Meunier - that is the question?
The Meunier Institut makes its debut during Le Printemps des Champagnes
The institute was founded by a group of Champagne growers, who are united by their passion for the Meunier grape variety, to promote, protect and give back the deserved notoriety to the noble Meunier grape.
The Champagne growers currently involved in the project are:
Champagne Eric Taillet
, Champagne Meteyer Père et fils
, Champagne Roger-Constant Lemaire,
Champagne Xavier Leconte,
Champagne Serveaux Fils,
Champagne Roger Barnier,
Champagne Moutardier
and Champagne Heucq.
Proud to cultivate Meunier, within the Champagne Appellation, their ambition is to demonstrate their work, passion and savoir-faire for the Meunier grape through the various stages of vinfication and the vast variety of resulting Champagnes.
To live the experience, the Meunier Institut has organised a professional wine tasting of 100% Meunier base wines and Champagnes. The event will take place at the Pressoir Taillet, Baslieux-sous-Châtillon on Saturday and Sunday 16&17 April.
